Baby Steps to weight loss

I plan on posting weekly my progress and the last post was on the 27th, last Sunday, so my next posting will be this coming Sunday October 4 for a full update.

But quick update, the Omada program is in full swing. Weight is trending down by a pound and a half due in part to controlling the portions of food I eat. No going back for seconds which is probably my worst habit. And I’m controlling the urge to get a snack after 8:00 p.m. while sitting in front of the T.V. Another habit I’m going to break.

This isn’t my first rodeo. I’ve lost weight before and I know calories in have to be less than calories out. First step, for me anyway, is portion control and when I snack. Then I can get into exercising again. I’ve not started any exercising except for the one bike ride last Saturday.

Weekdays are pretty easy. 300-400 calorie breakfast then off to work. I eat a 500 calorie or less lunch at my desk. Then home for dinner where I’ve been known to go back for seconds or order one too many tacos. You get the idea. So that is where I am trying to break bad habits. And then sitting in front of the TV snacking until 10:00. Weekends are harder and prone to excess. The third area I need to work on.
